Abstract
The inauguration of the 8th national Assembly on June 9th, 2015 witnessed leadership crisis and party wrangling. The leadership crisis stemmed from the manner in which both the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representative emerged in the 8th House. This situation has pitched the House leadership against the ruling All Progressive Congress party (APC). 100 days after inauguration, there is uneasy calm in the Assembly especially the senate. The Senate President is being prosecuted by the Code of Conduct Tribunal over false declaration of assets while the House of Representative is gradually settling down after its own leadership crisis. The study examined online Punch and The Sun newspapers coverage of 100 days legislature in Nigeria. The study adopted content analysis and in-depth interview as method of study while coding and interview guide were the research instruments. The findings revealed that the 8th National Assembly were given prominence as most of the stories featured in Home Page. Also, the sources of stories were mainly in-house reporters and the tone of the coverage was neutral.
